ACTIVITIES
END OF SCHOOL YEAR PERFORMANCES
Every two years the Fina Dance Art School performs a show casting all of her students. For these productions special actors and directors are asked to lend a hand. Sometimes existing musicals are translated to Papiamentu or new musicals are entirely self-written. Examples include: “Mary i su 2 pidasitu” (Mary Poppins), “Shon Rei Leon” (The Lion King). Some authentic musicals are “Chabelita” (about a girl named Chabelita), “E Baranka Ku Ta Swin” (The Swinging Boulder) and most recently “Speransa” (about Hope) and our 40th celebration performance “Biba”. DISCO PARTY (NEW)
Each year in November, The Dance and More hosts an exciting Disco Party to raise funds for educational and community outreach initiatives. This lively event is open to all students, who are encouraged to participate and enjoy a variety of fun activities throughout the evening.
The Disco Party is always a hit, with students eagerly looking forward to the night filled with music, dance, and entertainment.
DANCE MARATHON
The Dance and More Foundation organizes every first weekend of November a Dance Marathon. All students are then invited to participate. For years this activity has been done for funding the community projects of the Dance and More.
